Ali MacGraw

Ali attended Wellesley College where she majored in art history. Ali began working in fashion magazines after her graduation. The model career began because of her interest in fashion photography. It was a field she continued until 1968 when because of Steve McQueen's marriage, she embarked on a film career that was late. The films she directed had a high success rate or did not. Today the former actress is living with her family in New Mexico in a modest kind of way. About the surprise success of Love Story (70), her first film with a starring role. It's hard to imagine how wonderful it would be to be adored by everyone around the world and getting people to comment on the haircut you wear every time you go across the street. The lessons I've learned since then are that the survival of celebrity is about doing the work to find out who you are so that you do not define your self by the things people say about the person you are.
